Decisio appoints Richard Petti as Chair
Decisio, a leading decision intelligence software and services company helping utilities make better whole-system planning and investment decisions, has appointed Richard Petti as Chair, following FPE’s investment in the business earlier this year.
Richard brings more than 25 years’ experience in enterprise software, including scaling businesses providing software and services to physical infrastructure and network owners. Most recently, he spent almost a decade as CEO of IQGeo, a provider of geospatial software for telecoms and utility network operators, leading the growth of the business through to its acquisition by KKR in 2024.
Richard will work alongside CEO Michael Avant-Smith and the Decisio leadership team, helping to guide the strategic direction of the business as it continues to invest in its platform and expand across UK utilities and adjacent regulated infrastructure markets.
Richard Petti, Chair of Decisio, commented, “Decisio has built an impressive business with a strong product addressing an increasingly important challenge for utilities and infrastructure operators. I’m looking forward to working with Michael and the team as they build on these foundations and take the business into its next stage of growth.”
Michael Avant-Smith, CEO of Decisio, commented, “Richard brings highly relevant experience of scaling software businesses serving infrastructure and network owners. His experience and perspective will be invaluable as we continue to develop Decisio, and I’m very pleased to have him joining us as Chair.”
