It brings together data across gas, electricity, heat and water with regional and societal insights. Navigator helps planners compare decarbonisation pathways and make informed decisions about what to invest in, where and when - providing a shared evidence base for Regional Energy Strategic Planning.

Since 13 May 2026, gas distribution networks have been required by licence to take part in Regional Energy Strategic Planning. Navigator provides the evidence base for that participation, and a shared view for everyone else who plans the regional energy system.
